Rehearsal took place during the hours leading up to the exclusive event, where cast and crew casually read through the script, having a few laughs and a couple of drinks before the doors opened to the public. Friends and fans filtered in around 8pm, taking advantage of the refreshments provided by incommunicado's production staff. With wine flowing and talk of the show buzzing, attendees were given a chance to persue one of the many adult themed items available for raffle. Signed DVDs, signed t-shirts, and sex toys (graciously donated by The Pleasure Chest and Babeland) were a huge hit, especially the feeding frenzy that accompanied the raffle of a WHACK! Magazine t-shirt signed by the one and only porn legend, Ron Jeremy.
The reading itself got underway around 9pm with an audience full of eager anticipation. Silent during the script's exposition portions and loud with laughter during its comedic portions, the reading was extremely well recieved. Upon the reading's completion, the actors were given a long burst of applause mixed with various hooting and hollering sounds of approval.
The post-reading party saw the audience praising the cast and crew for their efforts as everyone drank and discussed the night away. Overall, the event was a huge success, garnering pornocracy a much appreciated buzz. Currently set to shoot in a matter of weeks, pornocracy's tentative drop date will be sometime before Thanksgiving. Keep checking back for more updates!
